The Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair is the largest of the three official partner fairs that comprise the award-winning and highly respected Ann Arbor Art Fair. Roughly 400,000 people attend the event each year. The Summer Art Fair is located on Main Street in the heart of Ann Arbor as well as Liberty, State, and South University Streets, stretching from its charming downtown to the campus of the University of Michigan. It is run by The Guild of Artists & Artisans, a non-profit Artist Member Organization whose mission is to provide marketing opportunities to artists. It is the only show run by and for the artists. It is consistently ranked as one of the Top 100 Art Fairs in the Country.
ScrapFest began as a scrap metal artwork competition, and has evolved into a full art festival that focuses on up-cycled and repurposed artwork. Now, along with the scrap metal sculpture competition, ScrapFest also has eco-art booth artisans, family activities, live music, food, The Great Scrap Run 8k run/walk (with family fun run), a Refashion Show that focuses on garments made from scrap fabric, and a documentary series that focuses on the artists in the sculpture competition! This two-day, juried art show draws 15,000+ visitors to the park and features up to 135 fine artists from across Michigan and the country showcasing their jaw dropping creations of usable and decorative art to feature, wear and use throughout your home, office, garden and beyond. You are sure to find something truly unique shopping the wide selection of fine artists working in a variety of mediums and forms.

The event is free to attend and is a Mother's Day weekend tradition. Donations are tax-deductible, and all proceeds directly support REACH’s 20+ year legacy of offering free and sliding scale fee arts programs for all ages and abilities.
