About the collection:

The Hug that inspired this series was created in 2020 as part of my Little Comforts collection. During the early days of stay-at-home orders here in Michigan, when we started to see a combination of panic-buying and genuine shortages, I asked: "What do you wish you had more of?" ⁠

Answers ranged from Toilet Paper and Chicken to Fresh Air and Rain (there were draughts in some areas of the country). Also things like Elastic, for mask-making and more ephemeral things like Company and Hugs. I created a series of artwork around these answers, including the original Hug!
